Examples include efflorescence at joints, freezing of ceramic coverings, penetration of moisture into the construction underneath or the formation of mould below upper layers of materials. Sealing systems prevent such damage. Elastic joint sealing tapes, corners and collars from Jaeger all form part of modern sealing systems which prevent expensive building damage due to damp from the very beginning.
